Privacy policy

This website is deliberately simple: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking and no third-party scripts or fonts. This page explains the little personal data that is still processed, and your rights.

I am the controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Fiduciary under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). For any privacy question or complaint, write to the email address above.

2. Visiting this website

When you open a page, the following technical data is processed to deliver it:

This website is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA, as a content delivery network. To deliver the pages and protect the website against attacks, Cloudflare processes technical data such as your IP address, the time of the request and the page requested. I do not receive or store access logs. Cloudflare’s own processing is described in its privacy policy. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, fast website).

No cookies or tracking. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or social media tools. Fonts are served from this website’s own server, so no data is sent to font providers.

3. Contacting me by email

If you email me, I process your email address, your name and anything you write, in order to reply and, where relevant, to prepare an offer or carry out a project. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps before or under a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (answering enquiries).

I keep correspondence for as long as needed to handle your request. Correspondence that relates to a contract or invoice is kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.

4. Booking a call through Cal.com

The “Book a 30-min call” button is a normal link to my booking page at Cal.com. Nothing from Cal.com loads on this website until you click it. When you book a call, Cal.com, Inc. (USA) processes the details you enter (such as name, email and your message) and creates a calendar invitation with a video link. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps before a contract, at your request).

Cal.com is an independent service with its own privacy policy, available on its website. Data processed by Cal.com may be stored in the USA.

5. Transfers outside the EU

I am based in India, and the services described above (Cloudflare, Inc. and Cal.com, Inc., both USA) may store data in India or the USA. India has no EU adequacy decision. Transfers that you start yourself, such as emailing me or booking a call, are necessary to answer your enquiry or to take steps towards a contract you request (Art. 49(1)(b) GDPR). Where a provider offers standard contractual clauses or a similar safeguard, I rely on it.

Under the DPDP Act you can also ask for a summary of your data and how it is processed, have it corrected, completed or erased, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and use the grievance contact above. If you are not satisfied with my response, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.

7. Other points

Providing personal data is voluntary, but without an email address I cannot reply to you. I do not sell personal data and do not use automated decision-making or profiling. This website is not directed at children.
